A Time For Alleluia: A Musical Cantata Event!

Join the combined choirs of First Church United Methodist and Coronado United Methodist Church for a meaningful Lenten musical experience on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

From the passion of Gethsemane to the victory of the empty tomb, A Time for Alleluia celebrates the life of Christ and His redemptive work among us. This powerful cantata invites listeners to walk the journey of Jesus through music, scripture, and reflection.

Using Ecclesiastes as the biblical foundation for her narration, Pamela Martin guides us through the seasons of Christ’s life, drawing us into a story of sacrifice, hope, and renewal. Composer Joseph Martin’s masterful score is brought vividly to life through the colorful orchestrations of Brant Adams, creating an evening that is both musically rich and spiritually moving.

Presented by the combined choirs of First Church UMC and Coronado UMC, this Lenten cantata offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts as we move toward Easter. Through stirring choral music and thoughtful narration, A Time for Alleluia traces Christ’s path from sorrow to triumph and invites us to consider our own journey of faith.
