A”Heart of First Church” Worship & Workshop

As we begin our “140 Visioning Journey”, we start with What is at the heart of First Church? What values define who we are? What mission & purpose is God calling us to embrace for the future?

Everyone is invited to join us for the “Heart of First Church” Worship & Workshop, on Sunday, August 30. This is our next “5th Sunday” opportunity, with the single, unified worship service at 10am. The workshop will follow from 11a-2pm in the sanctuary. And, yes, we’ll even enjoy a potluck lunch together!

This day is certain to be a special time of fellowship, reflection, prayer, and discernment as we seek God’s guidance together. This interactive gathering is designed to help our congregation prayerfully discover and articulate the Core Values and Mission Statement that will shape and inspire our ministry for years to come. Through engaging reflection exercises, group conversations, and guided prayer, every voice will have the opportunity to contribute, with the Holy Spirit bringing focus in unity & harmony to proclaim our heart of First Church.

And because meaningful conversations are even better around the table, we’ll enjoy a potluck lunch together! Bring a favorite dish to share!
