| Shoe Us Some Love! Did you know First Church is having a Shoe drive! Yes, we need those new and gently worn shoes you no longer wear. The shoes get a second chance in places where Shoes are the primary mode of transportation. Micro-entrepreneurs sell the shoes to support their families. This is a Hand -Up, not a Hand-Out. It’s a WIN-WIN-WIN opportunity for everyone! You clean your closets and keep the shoes out of the landfills; the shoes get a second chance in developing countries where shoes are the primary mode of transportation; AND First Church gets a check determined by the number of pounds of shoes collected! So look for the Shoe Drive Drop Boxes on campus and bring in those shoes! Bring a shoe donation to the Church monthly Community Dinners and get a free dessert.
